Meta's flagship social VR platform, Horizon Worlds, is testing a new type of members-only space to allow users to create curated worlds.
The maximum number of community users who can be in a members-only world is 25 people, compared to the 150 allowed in public worlds.
- Members-only worlds are planned for a beta test rollout with a "small group of trusted creators."
- Horizon Worlds is also testing its "personal spaces," which are like virtual homes with full control over which visitors enter and leave.
- Currently, the Horizon Worlds app is only available on Quest VR headsets.
- Last October, Horizon Worlds reportedly went into a "quality lockdown" to improve Horizon Worlds, which seems to have slowed down the rollout to new platforms.
