Microsoft's Bing is now among the top 10 free iOS apps in Apple's App Store.  Bing has skyrocketed in popularity after Microsoft announced yesterday that it's bringing advanced GPT-based AI technology to the search engine. According to TechCrunch, Bing app downloads have surged by at least 10 times since yesterday. As of Wednesday, it was the second-most popular free app in the App Store's Productivity category, trailing only Gmail. Previously, Bing was ranked 160th among iOS productivity apps, according to TechCrunch. On Tuesday, Microsoft announced that it is integrating a large language model into a "new Bing" to aid in search, content creation, and answering questions in a conversational way. Users can join a waitlist to request full access to the AI-powered Bing. There is also a limited preview available now. Edge app: Microsoft is also incorporating AI into a new version of the Edge web browser. As of Wednesday, the free Edge iOS app had climbed to No. 3 on Apple's App Store chart in the Utilities category.
