Climate risks including flooding, wildfires, extreme heat, and hurricanes concern businesses, but Climate X, a digital twin of the earth, can reportedly help.

Climate X deploys Spectra, a climate risk data platform with digital twin simulations, allowing users to simulate extreme weather impact on business-critical locations and assets, TechHQ reports.

Users can select from various risk filters, including river flooding, subsidence, landslide, extreme heat, and storm.

    • Zooming in on a map user can determine how different sites are affected.
  • The tool uses an ensemble of climate models that run behind the scenes, projecting the impact of climate change worldwide up to the year 2100.
  • The data is mainly from remote sensing, including synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) and other satellite information.
  • Users can access the climate risk data by entering an address, unique property reference numbers (UPRNs), or longitude and latitude.
