Kickstart Seed Fund secured $230M in capital commitments for its sixth fund.
Nearly
half of the new fund will be used to back startups in Utah. The firm
also announced plans to open a new office in Colorado, which will be
headed by general partner Dalton Wright.
- With the new fund, Kickstart now has nearly $500M worth of assets under management (AUM).
- The fund is double the size of its predecessor $110M fund, which closed in April 2020.
- The current fund will invest in pre-seed and seed-stage startups and double down on portfolio startups.
- Notable startups in its portfolio include Artemis, Aumni, Cotopaxi, Galileo, Podium, Spiff, and Taskeasy.
- Former Degreed president Kat Kennedy joined the firm as a general partner last August.
