Property mapping technology provider Engrain raised a $12M Series A funding round. The funding round was led by RET Ventures, which focuses on technology solutions for multifamily and single-family rental industries. 

  • Engrain offers products such as TouchTour, Asset Intelligence, and SightMap to transform how people find, lease, and manage their property. 
  • Engrain claims to serve 8,000 multifamily and 3,000 self-storage properties, comprising over 5 million units. 
  • The Denver-based startup plans to invest the new capital in a wide range of platform improvements, including a marketplace with automated processes. 
  • Engrain's co-founder Brent Steiner told Commercial Observer the company decided to go ahead with a Series A raise after the collapse of SVB, where it had a few million in deposits.
