Oil prices were stable Tuesday morning after dropping 2% on Monday.

  • Brent crude is at $84.76 a barrel and U.S. West Texas Intermediate is at $80.88 a barrel.
  • The International Energy Agency warned that output cuts announced by OPEC+ countries could negatively impact consumers and global growth. 
  • U.S. crude oil and natural gas production in the seven biggest shale basins is projected to reach a record high in May.
