New York-based AI-driven market intelligence platform AlphaSense secured $100M in fresh funding led by CapitalG — Alphabet's independent growth fund — at a $1.8B valuation. 

The fundraising is an add-on to the firm's $225M Series D round in June 2022 at a $1.7B valuation. 

  • Incoming funds will help the firm accelerate its deployment of advanced AI technology, including generative AI tools, and back strategic acquisitions.
    •  AlphaSense acquired financial intelligence platform Sentieo in 2022 and interview transcripts firm Stream in 2021. 
  • The firm has raised over $620M in total funding to date. 
  • Existing backers Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Viking Global Investors participated in the current funding round. 
  • Notable previous backers include BlackRock, Quantum Strategic Partners, and Tribeca Venture Partners.
