Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has welcomed six cheetah cubs in collaboration with the Zoological Association of America's Animal Management Program and the Metro Richmond Zoo.

The female cheetah cubs are between 8 and 10 months old, while Kalahari, the male cheetah cub, is 3 months old.

The cubs will receive expert care around the clock and will be showcased in the new Cheetah Creek exhibit, where guests can observe them play and interact with their caregivers.

  • Each cheetah cub will serve as an ambassador for their counterparts in the wild to raise awareness of conservation efforts for cheetahs listed as vulnerable on the IUCN red list of threatened species.
  • The collaboration with the Cheetah Conservation Fund demonstrates the park's dedication to wildlife conservation.

The new animal additions build upon the park's 37-year legacy of providing annual educational and thrilling wildlife adventures for millions of visitors.
