SpaceX postponed the launch of the Starship because of technical issues on Monday.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted that the rocket launch was delayed due to a frozen "pressurant valve" and said there will be a new attempt in a few days.
- At nearly 400 feet in height, the Starship is designed to take flight atop SpaceX's Super Heavy booster.
- For the forthcoming test flight, the Starship will complete a near circuit of the Earth in under 90 minutes.
- About two hours after taking off from the SpaceX Starbase launch site in Boca Chica, Texas, the Starship will splash down in the Pacific Ocean, east of Hawaii.
- The Super Heavy will splash down about 20 miles off the Texas coast.
- Starship, the most powerful launch vehicle on the planet, is expected to eventually carry cargo and humans to the moon and Mars.
- Musk has said that sophisticated rockets like Starship could help humanity to "become a spacefaring civilization and a multi-planet species."
