ChatGPT available again in Italy

ChatGPT is  available  in Italy again as OpenAI agreed to respect regulator demands.

The country's top regulator authority criticized the company's age verification rules.

  • OpenAI shut down ChatGPT in Italy last month after the country's data protection authority, Garante, launched a probe over the app's privacy policy.
  • Garante accused OpenAI of failing to check the age of ChatGPT's users, who are supposed to be aged 13 or above.
  • OpenAI later said that it would add a tool to verify users' ages in Italy in the sign-up stage.
  • ChatGPT also added a new form for European Union users who can fill it out to object to the use of their data for AI training models.
