Sen. Bernie Sanders launched a probe into Amazon.

The investigation will examine Amazon's warehouse safety practices.

Sanders sent a letter to Amazon CEO Andy Jassy on Tuesday.

Sanders wrote the letter in his capacity as chair of the Senate's Health, Education, Labor, and Pension (HELP) committee.
The letter demanded information about worker injuries, productivity targets, and other data.
Sanders alleged in the letter that Amazon "systematically underreported" its injury rates.
Sanders asked Jassy to respond to the information requests by July 5.
