Baer previously served as chief customer and digital officer at Macy's.

Baer previously led Macy's live-stream shopping, media network, and third-party shopping initiatives.

Baer joined Macy's after serving as vice president of e-commerce at Walmart.com.
Baer replaces Stitch Fix founder Katrina Lake as CEO.
Lake temporarily returned to the role in January following the departure of Elizabeth Spaulding.
