Dell is reportedly acquiring Cloudify, an Israeli startup with an open-source DevOps automation and orchestration platform.

 While the tech giant has not officially announced its plans to buy Cloudify, it has filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with some details about the acquisition. 


  • The cost and other details of the acquisition are yet to be revealed. 
  • Cloudify was founded in 2016 and is marketed as a platform for DevOps and cloud architects to deploy and manage any cloud, private data center, or Kubernetes service from a central point. 
  • According to its website, Cloudify also provides integrations with infrastructure providers and automation tools, including Ansible, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform. 
  • Some key features embedded in the platform include consistent management, seamless automation, cost-optimization, reduced deployment time, a customizable self-service portal, and governance and compliance settings.
