The University of Texas at Austin said it will offer an online master's degree in artificial intelligence starting in the spring of 2024.   The university billed the new Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence as one of the only higher AI education degrees at a top-ranked school to be affordable. The tuition is $10,000, compared to $40,000+ for some similar degrees. The master's program will involve two years of coursework in areas like computer vision, deep learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and ethical AI. According to The New York Times, the Univesity of Texas degree is the "first of its kind among elite computing schools" and could help rapidly grow the U.S. AI-trained workforce.
