By comparison, it took Instagram two and a half years and TikTok nine months to reach that number of users. In their 20 years covering the internet, UBS analysts said they could not recall a "faster ramp" in any consumer internet app. Their study showed that ChatGPT had amassed 57 million monthly active users within its first month. In January, it reached an estimated 13 million individual (unique) users per day.
