Google announces price changes for its cloud services

Google announced a price change for Workspace and Cloud Services subscription plans.

The affected plans are Business Starter, Business Standard, and Business Plus editions.

Google Workspace is the company’s suite of collaboration and productivity apps, including tools such as Gmail, Meet, Docs, and Calendar.

  • Google Cloud grew cloud sales at a higher rate in the fourth quarter of 2022 than Microsoft and AWS by generating sales of $7.3B, representing a growth rate of 32% YoY.
  • The new pricing is expected to grow its sales revenue even further.
  • To balance user experience, Google has removed some upfront payment requirements previously part of different plans.
