Google says Russian cyberattacks against Ukraine are increasing

 

Google has stated that the number of Russian cyberattacks against Ukraine is increasing at an alarming rate. 

The tech giant claims there has been a 250% increase.

  • According to security researchers, there have been more cyber attacks launched against Ukraine during the first four months of 2022 than in the previous eight years.
  • Most of these cyber attacks were launched at the beginning of the Russian invasion military campaign.
  • The number of phishing attacks targeting NATO countries increased by 300% during the same period.
  • Researchers stated that regardless of the many cyberattacks that Russia has launched, it has failed to bring down Ukraine's digital infrastructure so far.
