recyclable paperboard bottle, was launched by Florida-based Distillery
98.
Half Shell Vodka’s Frugal Bottle is made from 94% recycled paperboard and uses six times less carbon than standard glass bottles.
- The U.S. beverage wholesaler Breakthru Beverage Group is distributing the spirit.
- Half Shell’s business strategy reportedly also includes circular economy principles.
- The brand collaborates with local farmers to utilize Half Shell’s used grains as livestock feed.
- Half Shell sources its corn locally from the Florida Panhandle, located in the most geographically northern end of the state.
- The
distillation process uses activated coconut carbon and oyster shell
filtration system, employing shells from local oysters previously
destined for the landfill.
- The Frugal Bottle was developed by Frugalpac Limited, with an innovation center in Ipswich, U.K., and has already received inquiries for more than 70M Frugal Bottles.
