Liv-Ex, the global marketplace for the wine trade, has released its annual member survey with predictions for 2023, including industry challenges, wine prices, changing role of technology, and more.
The top two concerns among survey respondents are the global economy and supply chain issues.
- Over 54% of respondents mentioned that the global economy would be the market’s biggest challenge in 2023.
- Logistic and supply chain issues are the second most cited challenges the global wine trade expects by 16% of respondents.
- 60% of those surveyed expected the Liv-ex Fine Wine 100 Index to grow in 2023.
- According
to CEO James Miles, the survey represents “the best possible barometer
of market sentiment." He was pleased that their outlook appears
cautiously optimistic.
