At least six people were killed and hundreds injured in an earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday.

The aftershock comes after over 46,000 people were killed by a catastrophic earthquake that struck both countries on Feb. 6.

The magnitude 6.3 quake hit Turkey’s southern Hatay province, near the Syrian border, according to Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Agency.

  • The latest tremor destroyed several buildings in northwest Syria and injured over 130 people.
  • Emergency workers are trying to rescue three men trapped in a collapsed building in the Turkish city of Antakya.
  • Hundreds of rescuers were mobilized only days after Turkey’s disaster management authority ended most search and rescue operations following the Feb. 6 quake.
