Pernod Ricard Korea is dealing with labor union strikes following CEO Frantz Hotton's termination of a 23-year collective agreement with the union.

Employees are demanding wage increases, which have been frozen for the past six years.

  • The union plans to continue its walkout, asking for the annulation of the company's decision to abolish the union group.
  • 50 employees are registered with the labor union, which is 35% of the company's total.
  • The company has reportedly not managed to raise wages since October 2016, despite employee requests.
  • The global wine and spirits leader has remained silent on the issue.

  • Past December, Pernod Ricard Korea closed the union's office, moving its HQ to Jung District, Seoul.
