Strava is searching for a new CEO after its co-founder Michael Horvath resigned from the role for the second time.

The executive previously left the fitness social network due to family matters in 2013, returning in 2019.

  • “As co-founder and CEO, it’s only part of my job to ensure we are picking the right path to that destination. The other part of it is to ensure we always recruit and support the right leaders for the right times,” said Horvath.
  • In January, Strava announced the acquisition of Fatmap, a high-resolution 3D global map platform for the outdoors.
  • Strava reached 100 million users globally and over 7 billion shared activities in May 2022.
