Tel Aviv-based cloud data security startup Sentra has raised a $30M Series A round led by Standard Investments.

- According to its website, Sentra leverages existing and custom data recognition tools to classify data based on business impact. Data can be classified based on Personal Identifiable Information (PII), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Protected Health Information (PHI), and Data Element Values (DEV.)
- Sentra claims to offer an agentless solution that can automatically discover and scan cloud data to identify sensitive data.
- The company plans to use its fresh funds to support product development and expand its presence to countries outside the U.S. and Israel.
