Amazon entered a delivery agreement with U.S. drugstore chain Rite Aid.
The move comes as Amazon continues its effort to expand the range of retailers that provide benefits for its Prime members.
- Amazon's
partnership with Rite Aid will give Prime members access to two-hour
delivery windows for online orders from select Rite Aid stores.
- The deal is currently restricted to Prime members located in certain regions of Newark, New Jersey, and Burbank, California.
- An Amazon spokesperson said the company aims to expand the offering to more Rite Aid locations in the future.
- In April 2022, Amazon launched its
"Buy with Prime" program, which allows U.S. Prime members to order
directly from third-party stores using Amazon's dedicated marketplace.
- In October of the same year, Amazon started allowing Prime members to order deliveries from Save Mart through Amazon's app and on its e-commerce site.
