Bitcoin (BTC) mining firm Argo Blockchain reported

Bitcoin (BTC) mining firm Argo Blockchain reported that it mined 162 Bitcoin or BTC equivalents in February, accounting for 5.7 BTC per day.

The company said the production surged despite a double-digit monthly rise in Bitcoin's average network difficulty.

Argo Blockchain increased the daily Bitcoin production rate by 7%, up from the average daily production of 5.4 BTC in the previous month.

    • The firm generated $3.74M of revenue from mining, with an increase compared to $3.42M in January.
    • The company had 101 Bitcoin or BTC equivalents at the end of February.
    • The firm's total hash rate capacity stands at 2.5 EH/s.

Blockchain.com's data showed that Bitcoin's network difficulty rate increased to 43 trillion in February, reaching a new all-time high.

    • The mining difficulty refers to how difficult it is to mine a Bitcoin block.
    • When the difficulty hits higher levels, miners require more hash rates or computing power to validate transactions and create new coins.
