Bitcoin (BTC) mining firm Argo Blockchain reported that it mined 162 Bitcoin or BTC equivalents in February, accounting for 5.7 BTC per day.
The company said the production surged despite a double-digit monthly rise in Bitcoin's average network difficulty.
Argo Blockchain increased the daily Bitcoin production rate by 7%, up from the average daily production of 5.4 BTC in the previous month.
- The firm generated $3.74M of revenue from mining, with an increase compared to $3.42M in January.
- The company had 101 Bitcoin or BTC equivalents at the end of February.
- The firm's total hash rate capacity stands at 2.5 EH/s.
Blockchain.com's data showed that Bitcoin's network difficulty rate increased to 43 trillion in February, reaching a new all-time high.
- The mining difficulty refers to how difficult it is to mine a Bitcoin block.
- When the difficulty hits higher levels, miners require more hash rates or computing power to validate transactions and create new coins.
