Canada-based Vertu Capital has raised $300M to invest in software businesses.
Vertu is one of the first women-founded VC firms in Canada.
- The firm aims to invest in North American startups that are:
- already profitable or close to becoming profitable,
- have over $10M in revenue,
- have over $365M in enterprise value.
- The
New York State Common Retirement Fund, BDC Capital, BMO Capital
Partners, CIBC, Export Development Canada, and Manulife Investment
Management were the main investors in this round.
- Some of its portfolio companies are:
- Dejero Labs,
- PathFactory,
- Carta,
- Firmex.
- The company was founded in 2017.
