Canada-based Vertu Capital has raised $300M to invest in software businesses.

 Vertu is one of the first women-founded VC firms in Canada.

  • The firm aims to invest in North American startups that are:
    • already profitable or close to becoming profitable,
    • have over $10M in revenue,
    • have over $365M in enterprise value.
  • The New York State Common Retirement Fund, BDC Capital, BMO Capital Partners, CIBC, Export Development Canada, and Manulife Investment Management were the main investors in this round.
  • Some of its portfolio companies are:
    • Dejero Labs, 
    • PathFactory,
    • Carta,
    • Firmex.
  • The company was founded in 2017.
