Crypto exchange Coinbase has recently deepened its presence in Brazil, integrating the Brazilian government’s payment system Pix.

Crypto exchange Coinbase has recently deepened its presence in Brazil, integrating the Brazilian government’s payment system Pix.   The integration will allow users in Brazil to buy crypto with Brazilian reals. Previously, Coinbase users in Brazil could purchase crypto only with credit cards.  The collaboration will enable customers to withdraw Brazilian reals, too.  The popular crypto exchange has also added language support for Portuguese to its app and started giving support for 24 hours on the platform. Coinbase established a technology hub in Brazil in 2021 and hired more than 40 full-time engineers along with a country director.  The Brazilian government’s Pix has more than 140 million users.  Crypto wallet provider MetaMask and crypto trading platform Bitget also have Pix integration.
