Heinz launched "Ketchup Fraud" Campaign

Kraft Heinz recently launched the "Ketchup Fraud" campaign to tackle restaurants refilling Heinz ketchup bottles with products from other ketchup brands.

This campaign was inspired by a viral Snapchat post showing a restaurant worker filling a Heinz bottle with a generic brand.

  • The campaign encourages consumers to tag restaurants caught in the act on Heinz's Instagram page.
  • The campaign includes out-of-home activations in New York and Chicago and social media, newspaper, and magazine advertising.
  • The campaign reinforces Heinz's long-standing brand identity of "It Has To Be Heinz."
  • Heinz will attempt to work with restaurants accused of "Ketchup Fraud" to ensure they can provide their customers with Heinz.
