High-Tech Gründerfonds raises $525M to invest in early-stage European startups

 

High-Tech Gründerfonds has raised $525M to invest in early-stage startups based in Europe. 

 The company manages $945M worth of assets.

  • The firm invests in startups that were founded in the last three years, are based in Europe, and have business interests in Germany.
  • High-Tech Gründerfonds' investment per startup could reach $4M across all rounds.
  • The company has already invested in startups such as:
    • Reflex Aerospace,
    • Phialogics,
    • VisioLab, etc.
  • The fund was backed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, KfW Capital, Volksbank, Deutsche Post, the Schwarz Group, etc.
  • Since its inception in 2005, the firm has invested in over 600 companies and has had over 100 exits.
  • High-Tech Gründerfonds is based in Bonn, Germany.
