JPMorgan Chase acquired investment analytics platform Aumni for an undisclosed sum. The
Salt Lake City, Utah-based startup provides an investment analytics
platform for VCs. JPMorgan hopes that the addition of Aumni will help it
"become the digital destination for VCs, startup founders, and other
investors to raise money, network and tap loans," per digital investment
banking head Michael Elanjian.
- Sources
informed CNBC that JPMorgan is reportedly paying an amount close to the
valuation that the startup received during its most recent fundraising
round in 2021.
- JPMorgan led Aumni's $50M Series B round in August 2021 at a valuation of $232M.
- The
bank will integrate Aumni's platform with its private markets platform
Capital Connect, which emerged from stealth last year.
- To
date, the firm has raised $63M in funding from backers such as SVB
Financial Group, Zeno Ventures, Kickstart, NEXT Frontier Capital,
Citadel Securities, and others.
