A debut NFL Black Friday game will stream on Amazon Prime Video for free this year. The participating teams will be announced at a later date ahead of the November 24 match-up.
- The
game starts at 3 pm ET on the day after Thanksgiving and will be
available to all, even viewers without a Prime Video account.
- Prime
Video will stream 16 regular-season NFL games throughout the 2023
season, between Weeks 2 and 17, along with one pre-season game.
- Amazon
has previously made some live sporting events free to stream for
non-subscribers, but never for domestic viewers within the US.
- Last
season, "Thursday Night Football" games averaged around 9.58 million
viewers on Prime Video, according to Nielsen; Amazon's internal figures
put the average at 11.3 million viewers.
- Plans for an NFL Black Friday game were first announced in October.
