Co-creator and star Bill Hader told Variety that HBO's "Barry" will come to an end with its upcoming fourth season.
Hader
and co-creator Alec Berg wrote the fourth season together prior to
production of Season 3, during the COVID pandemic, and realized "a very
clear ending presented itself."
- The final eight-episode season premieres on April 16 on HBO and HBO Max.
- Hader stars in the series as an Ohio hitman who comes to Los Angeles for a job, only to discover his love of acting.
- Season 4 opens with the character of Barry in prison; a brief teaser finds him making threats over the phone to an unknown party.
