The "Walking Dead" spinoff series "Dead City" debuts Sunday, June 18, on both AMC and AMC+.

The six-episode series brings back Lauren Cohan as Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan from the original zombie drama series.

The action is set two years after the "Walking Dead" series finale, and finds Maggie and Negan searching a post-apocalyptic zombie-filled New York City for Maggie's son, Hershel.

  • "Walking Dead" vet Eli Jorné created the series and serves as showrunner; former "Walking Dead" showrunner Scott Gimple executive produces.
  • Another "Walking Dead" sequel series focused on Norman Reedus' character Daryl Dixon is set to premiere later this year; AMC is also developing another spinoff with actors Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira.
