Walmart has laid off over 600 employees in its e-commerce fulfillment operations.   The move signals a downsizing in Walmart's fulfillment network, which was previously seeing rapid growth. Walmart's Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notices show that over 600 employees have been laid off. The company confirmed that it has "adjusted staffing levels" at some of its fulfillment centers.  A Florida WARN notice revealed that Walmart will lay off 400 workers at its facility in Davenport, Florida.  Retail Dive previously reported that 201 workers were laid off at Walmart's cutting-edge Pedricktown facility. Walmart said in February that it would shut down its e-commerce-only stores due partly to the expansion of its curbside pickup network.
