Walmart triples store-fulfilled delivery sales

 

Walmart has almost tripled its store-fulfilled delivery sales in the past two years.  The company increased its delivery capacity amid the pandemic-fueled boom in e-commerce since 2020. Over 3,900 of Walmart's 4,717 U.S. locations now provide same-day delivery. Store-fulfilled deliveries now generate sales of over $1B per month, according to Walmart CFO and Executive Vice President John David Rainey. Walmart increased its availability of online pickup and delivery slots by 40% in 2022. Walmart is competing for the same-day delivery market with Target, which plans to spend $100M to boost its ultra-fast delivery network.
