Charles Redfield plans to resign as Walmart's chief merchandising officer. 

He leaves as Walmart forecasts slower sales and profit growth for 2023.

  • Redfield worked at Walmart for 32 years.
  • He has served as chief operating officer since January 2022.
  • Redfield is leaving to spend more time with his family, according to Walmart U.S. CEO John Furner.
  • Walmart expects to see same-store sales growth of between 2% and 2.5% this fiscal year.
