Crypto charity platform The Giving Block has estimated that crypto donations will surpass the $10B level in a decade.
The platform expects donations made through crypto to hit $1B by August 2027, $5B by June 2031, and $10B by November 2032.
- The Giving Block shared his estimations in an annual report titled Crypto Philanthropy Data, Trends & Predictions.
- The report has shown that all-time crypto donations in The Giving Block reached $125M last year.
- The USD Coin (USDC) stablecoin became the cryptocurrency most used in donations, with a 44% rate.
- USDC was followed by Ether (ETH) with 24% and Bitcoin (BTC) with 17%.
- The largest crypto donation of the year came from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin who donated $9.4M through his philanthropic fund, Balvi.
