Debra Crew has been appointed as the new CEO of Diageo, becoming the first female to hold the position at the beverage company known for brands like Guinness beer and Johnnie Walker whisky.
Crew, who has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) since October 2022, will take over from Ivan Menezes on July 1, 2023, after his 10-year tenure at the helm.
Crew previously served as the President of Diageo North America and Global Supply, leading Diageo's largest market to significant organic net sales growth in fiscal 2022.
