Elephant Gin and non-alcoholic apéritif Everleaf have been awarded B Corp certification.
The
B Corp certification is awarded to companies with high social and
environmental performance standards, transparency, and accountability.
- Elephant
Gin, which has donated 15% of its profits to elephant conservation
projects since its launch, recently donated more than €1M to protect the
African elephant.
- Everleaf, founded by a conservation
biologist and bar owner, claims to source ingredients carefully and
works with charities that help the conservation of biodiversity.
- The certification by B Lab UK reflects the businesses' commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
- Everleaf
has donated the £5,000 ($6,231) it costs to announce the news on a
billboard advertisement to its conservation charity partner Fauna &
Flora.
- Both brands join a
global community of more than 6,200 businesses awarded B Corp
certification, including Patagonia, Bailey’s, and Innocent drinks.
