Insights from Gartner survey

 

A recent Gartner study revealed that SalesOps teams spend the majority of their time on non-sales tasks.

 Gartner surveyed 318 sales leaders between August and September 2022.

  • The number of respondents who reported dedicating their time to non-sales functions grew from 39% in 2019 to 73% in 2022. 
  • Also, SalesOps' time allocated to support sales functions declined from 61% in 2019 to 27% in 2022. 
  • 70% of sales leaders believe skills such as statistical analysis, stakeholder management, and analytic problem-solving are important for the future. 
  • Data visualization skill is the only skill that is expected to remain in demand after five years, showing sales in the future will be more data-driven.
