San Francisco-based cloud developer platform Replit has raised a $97.4M Series B funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, bringing its total valuation to $1.16B.
Replit is the company behind Ghostwriter, dubbed the world’s first in-IDE developer in AI chat.
Replit specializes in collaborative software that harnesses the power of AI and claims to enable developers to code faster, instantly start and develop projects with zero setups, deploy projects, and collaborate with other developers from anywhere using any device.
- The company plans to use its fresh funds to enhance its core development experience, offer a wider range of cloud services for developers, and drive innovation in AI and LLMs through Ghostwriter.
Additional participants in the funding round included Khosla Ventures, Coatue, SV Angel, Y Combinator, Bloomberg Beta, Naval Ravikant, ARK Ventures, and Hamilton Helmer.
- Last month, Replit and Google Cloud announced a partnership to expand access to generative AI through an open ecosystem that leverages both Google Cloud and Replit’s technology offerings.
