The layoffs are listed as permanent, but the distribution center will not close. Walmart has laid off warehouse workers in Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida, and New Jersey. The company has laid off 3,267 workers in total. Walmart expects 65% of its stores to have automation capabilities by the end of fiscal 2026.
