Amazon has entered the chat as the tech giant puts another foot in the AI race with the launch of Bedrock, a cloud service for AI-generated text and images. Bedrock will provide access to AWS's own language models, known as Titan.
The FTC ordered supplements retailer The Bountiful Company to pay a $600,000 fine for deceiving customers by "hijacking" reviews. The Bountiful Company allegedly used the system to combine newer products with more established products with high reviews, which may be detrimental to Amazon's forays into the healthcare industry.
Whole Foods shoppers in Denver can now check out more efficiently, courtesy of Amazon One "palm payment" system. The technology allowing users to wave a palm over a scanner to pay was also tested in select Panera Bread locations starting last month.

Amazon will start charging a $1 fee for some UPS returns to decrease the number of customers sending back purchased items, an emerging problem in the e-commerce industry. It also already added a "frequently returned" warning to tackle the issue.
