Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen signed a six-year contract with Dutch beer brand Heineken.
Verstappen, racing in F1 since 2015, is the new face of Heineken’s 'When You Drive, Never Drink' campaign.
According to Heineken CEO Dolf van den Brink, nonalcoholic beer is becoming “increasingly important and Max will become one of our figureheads to propagate that.”
- The current world champion Dutch F1 star Verstappen is happy to be associated with fellow Dutch product Heineken.
- "Being from The Netherlands myself, it is something truly special to partner up with an iconic Dutch brand like Heineken," he said.
- According to Heineken, the company did not oversee the evolution of the Formula 1 sport when it became a sponsor in 2016.
Verstappen has a contract with Red Bull until the end of the 2028 F1 season.
