The iconic animated sci-fi comedy series "Futurama" returns on Hulu with new episodes this July 24.   Hulu has commissioned 20 new "Futurama" installments, which make up the shows 8th or 11th season, depending on how you count. "Futurama" originally debuted on Fox in 1999 before it moved over to cable's Comedy Central. Four direct-to-video "Futurama" films were also produced, and later converted into a bonus season of the series. The original voice cast all returned for the revival; John DiMaggio, who voices Bender, was a holdout before eventually signing on in March 2022. "Simpsons" veterans Matt Groening and David X. Cohen originally created and developed the series.
