Dropbox unveiled two new AI products

Dropbox unveiled two new AI products, Dropbox Dash and Dropbox AI, that offer personalized AI assistance, such as answering user queries and summarizing documents.

Dropbox Dash is an AI-powered universal search tool that consolidates various apps and platforms into a single search bar, enabling users to locate and share content.

    • The feature uses generative AI to answer queries and provide relevant information.
    • It includes features like Stacks for organizing links and a Start Page for easy navigation.
    • Select customers can now access its beta version.
  • Similarly, Dropbox AI summarizes and extracts information from large documents, contracts, and more stored in Dropbox accounts.
    • Powered by an OpenAI model, it also answers questions like a chatbot.
    • Dropbox AI is currently in Alpha for all U.S. Dropbox Pro customers.

Also today, Dropbox announced it's launching Dropbox Ventures, a $50M initiative to support AI-driven startups transforming work.

  • Through financial resources and mentorship, Dropbox said the venture fund aims to bring new experiences to over 700 million registered users.
