The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a seasonally adjusted increase in real average hourly earnings for all employees and production/non-supervisory employees by 0.2% month-over-month and 2.2% year-over-year in June. The improvements over both time periods were driven by higher average hourly earnings but were offset by higher inflation and a reduction in the average workweek.
