Two HBO series currently in production in the UK -- "House of the Dragon"

 

Two HBO series currently in production in the UK -- "House of the Dragon" and "Industry" -- will continue shooting during the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.  Though "House of the Dragon" is considered an American program, the bulk of the cast is British, and work under Equity contracts rather than SAG-AFTRA. Some key members of the "Industry" cast -- including Myha'la Herrold and Ken Leung -- are American SAG-AFTRA members, but they have been directed to continue to report to work. The UK has strict anti-trade union laws; union members are not permitted to strike in unity with counterparts from other countries. Should SAG-AFTRA members decline to work on British sets during the strike, they could face legal action from producers. In a statement, Equity said that it "stands in unwavering solidarity" with SAG-AFTRA.
