Android announced new Play Console features that enable developers to control when app changes are sent for review.
Android said it received feedback about the lack of predictability and control over the app review process and added that the changes provide more flexibility.
- A new section called "Changes ready to send for review" in Play Console's Publishing overview page lists changes subject to review.
- Developers can send the changes for review whenever they are ready.
- When managed publishing is turned on, the changes appear in the "Ready to publish" section when approved.
- Android publishes changes automatically if developers have turned off managed publishing.
- Android also added the ability to remove changes that are already sent for review or ready to publish.
