Apple has adjusted, and in some cases lowered, the trade-in values for iPhones and other devices.

The iPhone 13 Pro line saw the largest decrease of up to $80. Trade-in values are determined by the condition of the device.

  • For example, an iPhone 13 Pro now has a trade-in value of $470, down from $550.
  • The iPhone 13 now nets $400 toward a new device purchase, down from $450.
  • The values of most older iPhones, such as the iPhone 7 and 8, and of all iPads have not changed.
  • Trade-in values for some Macs increased, including the MacBook Pro ($670 from $630) and the MacBook Air ($460 vs. $440).
  • Apple has not explained its reasoning behind the adjustments. It last lowered the trade-in values for some older iPhone models in November.
